World Owl Trust

The World Owl Trust is the acknowledged leader in global owl conservation and its renowned Owl Centre based at historic Muncaster Castle, Ravenglass, in S/W Cumbria was the first owl conservation centre in the world to open its gates to the general public. It is now widely regarded as ‘Mecca’ for anyone with even the remotest interest in owls and their conservation. As well as carrying out practical habitat restoration and breeding programmes for the five resident UK owl species, the Trust is also involved in many such programmes all over the world. While its main overseas emphasis in recent years has been in the Philippines, it is also working in conjunction with representatives in other countries such as Kenya, Israel, Nepal, Brazil, Holland, South Africa and southern India.
